Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking an Anesthesia Equipment Technician to support the Operating Room and anesthesia delivery by maintaining and setting up equipment, ensuring sterile technique, and assisting the anesthesia team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and healthcare experience; ASATT certification is preferred. BLS certification is required, with opportunities to participate in equipment evaluations and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Basic reading comprehension and ability to understand instructions and memos.
• Strong English communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with acquisition, preparation and application of anesthesia equipment.
• Set up OR suites with required equipment and supplies.
• Maintain and service anesthesia equipment daily.
• Calibrate monitors and assemble ventilator circuits as needed.
• Support anesthesia providers during procedures and patient transport.
• Ensure sterile technique and restock room carts between cases.
• Monitor and order anesthesia supplies and equipment as needed.
• Participate in quality control and equipment evaluations.
