University Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia care providers during general anesthesia and related procedures. You will assemble and maintain supplies, clean equipment, and assist with vascular access and monitoring as needed.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years in a hospital with anesthesia operations, and current CPR certification. Anesthesia Technician certification is preferred and certification program completion is encouraged.
Supports anesthesia care providers during general anesthesia, invasive monitoring and vascular access procedures within the main OR and all anesthesia supported satellite areas. Maintains supplies on-hand as may be required by Anesthesiologist. Assembles supplies and equipment as appropriate for scheduled procedures. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on anesthesiology equipment. Performs assigned duties promptly and efficiently. Responsible for restocking, maintain appropriate supplies as needed for both scheduled and urgent/emergent procedures. Complies with instructions from the supervisor to whom responsible and maintains a good working relationship with patients, and other Health System employees and guests.
High school diploma or equivalent experience and at least two years experience in a hospital with similar anesthesia operations is preferred. Completion of Anesthesia Technician Certification program and certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred. Current CPR certification is required.
