Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to coordinate supplies, assist anesthesiologists, and support equipment maintenance across Lakeland Hospital St Joseph and affiliated sites.

The role requires a HS diploma with preferred credentials in patient care, BLS, and anesthesia technician certification. It includes responsibilities for inventory, data collection, and collaboration with clinical engineering to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: an associate degree with 2 years of relevant patient care experience; OR 1 year OR experience.
• BLS certification (AHA) within 90 days and ARC certification within 90 days.
• AT anesthesia technician certification preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate anesthesia supplies across multiple sites and assist anesthesiologist with procedures.
• Assist in IV insertion, epidural catheter placement and monitoring device setup.
• Maintain anesthesia carts and storage areas; obtain emergency supplies as directed.
• Support equipment trials and data collection for cost/quality analyses.
• Assist with long term capital equipment planning and preventive maintenance of anesthesia machines.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate's Degree 2 years of relevant experience in patient care

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC

CRT-Anesthesia Technician, Certified (Cer. A.T.)
