Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System in Alabama seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesiology team by preparing and setting up equipment for each surgical case. • Previous hospital experience as anesthesia technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates preparation of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Maintains stocking of anesthesia supplies in surgical suite and workroom.
• Ensures aseptic technique for circuits, suction, and airway equipment used in anesthesia.
• Performs clerical duties for processing and coordinating anesthesia services.
• Collaborates with Director of Surgical Services, Chief CRNA, Biomedical, and Material Management to resolve equipment or supply issues.
• Coordinates with Pharmacy on medication exchange and stock management.
• Assists OR staff and others in maintaining smooth flow of the surgical schedule.
