Job summary

The University of Iowa seeks a Clinical Technician I to support anesthesia providers across MOR, SFCH, ASC OB-GYN, and satellite locations in Iowa City. Shift is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, on campus, under general supervision.

Responsibilities include equipment care and preparation, patient care tasks, inventory control, and adherence to safety standards. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, patients, and the public.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to collect data and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, maintenance, troubleshooting, and instruction in the proper usage of anesthesia equipment and supplies in all anesthetizing locations.
• Prepare all anesthetizing locations.
• Perform daily assignments in patient care activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professional values consistently.
• Track inventory control and expiration dates of stocked medications.
