Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Support Technician (PRN) to ensure supplies, equipment, medications, and ancillary items are ready for anesthesia services. You will manage inventory, equipment readiness, and coordinate with care teams to support efficient surgical operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with anesthesia providers, nursing staff, sterile processing, and supply chain resources, while upholding infection prevention standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; Associates degree in healthcare science preferred.
• Experience in supply chain management, surgical services, central supply, sterile processing, or anesthesia support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains anesthesia carts, workrooms, and storage areas to PAR levels.
• Stocks anesthesia medications and supplies per hospital policy.
• Monitors inventory and initiates orders to maintain adequate stock.
• Keeps carts and rooms free of expired supplies and outdated products.
• Assists anesthesia providers with locating supplies and equipment as needed.
• Supports OR turnover by restocking anesthesia supplies between cases.
• Maintains accurate inventory records and participates in counts.
• Coordinates with Materials Management and vendors regarding supply availability.
