Job summary

Prescott’s, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Services Biomed Technician to join our Kentucky-based service team.

You will repair, calibrate, and maintain anesthesia machines, vaporizers, patient monitors, and ESU systems used in hospitals, surgery centers, and veterinary facilities, with emphasis on safety and regulatory adherence. You will also support inventory management, quality control inspections, and technical mentoring of staff, while ensuring complete calibration

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; any Associate degree or technical certification related preferred.
2+ years of related manufacturing assembly, testing, or troubleshooting experience or equivalent.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills for refurbishing and repairing medical equipment.
Advanced knowledge of medical devices and instrumentation, including patient monitors and ESU systems.
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment and software.
Proficiency with precision tools and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
Soldering experience for basic assembly and rework.
Understanding of quality control and inspection protocols.
Experience with inventory management and documentation for used equipment.

Responsibilities

Repair, PM, refurbishment, testing, troubleshooting, assembly, cleaning, and inspections of anesthesia machines and related equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble anesthesia machines per manufacturer guidelines.
Perform vendor-standard functional testing to verify safety and operability.
Service machines in human and veterinary settings, including vaporizer output verification.
Schedule and manage service requests for patient monitors and ESUs.
Test vaporizers with calibrated equipment and document calibration certificates.
Follow drawings and QC checklists; ensure documentation before releasing to inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory records and track service/repair history.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other technicians and staff.
Support continuous improvement and training initiatives and ensure compliance with standards.
