Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers and clinical teams by ensuring equipment, instruments, and procedure areas are ready.

You will perform calibrations, endoscope processing, infection prevention, documentation, and assist with billing and departmental duties; partners across GI, recovery, and obstetric units; strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer, typing, and keyboarding skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Able to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedure areas.
• Perform daily equipment calibrations, troubleshoot issues, and educate staff on equipment use.
• Clean, process, and document the high-level disinfection of flexible endoscopes according to protocols.
• Provide support across designated clinical areas while responding to changing patient needs.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with billing, reporting, and other departmental duties.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and teamwork in every aspect of the role.
