Job summary

Prescott’s, Inc. is seeking an Anesthesia Services Biomed Technician to independently repair, calibrate, maintain, and assemble anesthesia machines, vaporizers, patient monitors, and ESU systems in hospitals, surgery centers, and veterinary facilities.

This role also supports inventory management, quality control inspections, and technical mentoring of departmental staff, ensuring all equipment meets applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of related manufacturing assembly, testing, or troubleshooting experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; refurbishing, assembling, and cleaning equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of medical devices and instrumentation; troubleshooting complex equipment like patient monitors and ESUs.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, refurbishment, testing, troubleshooting, assembly, cleaning, and inspections of anesthesia machines and related equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble anesthesia machines following manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-service functional testing to ensure safety and operability before return to service.
• Provide calibration and verification of vaporizers; ensure accurate calibration and complete required certificates.
• Coordinate service requests and manage inventory records; mentor other technicians.
