Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL is seeking an Anesthesia Support Specialist to assist the anesthetist by maintaining and monitoring anesthesia equipment, managing supplies, and preparing the surgery room according to established procedures.

You will follow AORN standards, support room turnover between cases, and contribute to a safe, efficient OR environment. A High School diploma, basic life support, and at least 6 months of OR-related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months work experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia team by monitoring equipment and managing supplies.
• Prepare the surgery room and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain and clean anesthesia equipment per established procedures.
• Support department operations and documentation as needed.
