Job summary

Medical Associates is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee the Anesthesia department at our Dubuque campuses. The role requires leadership, collaboration with physicians and staff, and responsibility for staff development, payroll, scheduling, and budgeting.

Core hours are Mon–Fri, 8–5, with occasional meetings outside core hours. The successful candidate will balance organization, communication, and problem-solving in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of similar or related experience; management experience preferred.
• Interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and strong communication; ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the organization and delivery of quality patient care within the department; may include direct patient care.
• Perform managerial duties: budgeting, meetings, data collection and reporting; manage records, coding and charging processes.
• Collaborate with nursing staff on the floor; provide direct patient care including assessments and coordinating treatments.
• Serve as a clinical resource for the nursing team during complex or critical situations.
• Oversee staff selection, training, performance evaluations, scheduling, and staffing levels.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with regulations, policies, credentialing, and safety standards (e.g., CLIA).
• Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
