Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Orange County, CA, is seeking an Anesthesia Aide to support care, cleaning and handling of anesthesia equipment, and to assist with OR setup and supply management. You will take inventory, restock anesthesia carts, place orders, and ensure sterile techniques and documentation are followed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, knowledge of surgical terminology and instruments, 2 years of OR experience, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of surgical terminology, instrumentation, and supplies.
• Knowledge of instrumentation blood and body fluid precautions, disinfection techniques and methods of sterilization.
• Two years recent O.R. experience with knowledge of the basic technical aspects of general, regional and pediatric anesthesia and aseptic technique preferred.
• Completion of manufacturer’s training program for anesthesia machine and ventilator maintenance and repair preferred.

Responsabilités

• Care, cleaning, and handling of anesthesia equipment.
• Take inventory, order and stock anesthesia carts within the department.
• Assist with the coordination and assembly of anesthesia carts and daily OR setup.
• Place orders for supplies and receive incoming orders.
• Maintain sterilization documentation including biological testing and chemical indicators.
