Job summary

US Fertility in Sandy Springs, GA seeks an Andrology Lab Technician to support semen analysis, sample handling and quality controls. The role offers weekday hours with some weekends/holidays rotation, and growth within a nationally recognized fertility network.

You will perform semen processing for ART, maintain equipment, manage supplies and ensure accurate chain-of-custody for samples. A biology degree and lab experience are required; ASCP certification is valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biology or other relevant science; ASCP MLT preferred or ASCP certification.
• Minimum of one year laboratory experience.
• Experience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred.
• Tissue culture experience (sterile technique) and/or semen processing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ship, receive and disposition of frozen samples.
• Order and receive lab supplies.
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis.
• Perform counts for concentration and motility; histological techniques for leucocytes and morphology.
• Process semen for ART procedures and IUIs.
• Ensure proper sample collection, delivery and identification.
• Run daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment.
• Support lab staff and ensure compliance with laws and accreditation.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Andrology Lab Technicianto join our team atShady Grove Fertility in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Eastern Time; rotating weekends and holidays

In this role, theAndrology Lab Technician will:

• Ship, receive and disposition of frozen samples
• Order and receive lab supplies
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphology
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology/Endocrine laboratory
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
• Check and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.
• Perform quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.
• Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.

What You’ll Bring

• B.S. in Biology or other relevant science and/orMLT ASCP
• Minimum of one year laboratory experience
• Experience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
• Tissue culture experience (sterile technique) and/or semen processing a plus
