US Fertility is seeking an Andrology Laboratory Technician to join Ovation Fertility in Colchester, Vermont. The role supports semen analysis, sperm preparation for IUI, and hormone testing within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

• 1 year of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for analysis and perform analyses following written procedure, including semen analysis, sperm preparation for IUI, freezing of sperm, and related hormones.
• Prepare reagents or media from written procedures and adjust as needed.
• Confirm and verify results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments.
• Identify problems, develop alternatives and determine solutions when criteria are absent.
• Report patient results using laboratory information systems in a consistent format.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Recognize and correct instrument malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Conduct quality control procedures and evaluate results for corrective action.
• Determine performance specs for new methods and perform routine QC.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Andrology Laboratory Technician to join our team at Ovation Fertility in Colchester, Vermont.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Fridays may have the possibility to be shorter days on occasion), with the ability to work some weekends if needed

In this role, the Andrology Laboratory Technician will:

• Prepare specimens for analysis and perform analyses following written procedure, including semen analysis, sperm preparation for IUI, freezing of sperm, E2, FSH, LH, PRL, P4, TSH, AMH, and HCG
• Prepare reagents or media from written procedures and making adjustments as needed
• Confirm and verify results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments
• Recognize problems, identify the cause, develop alternatives and determine solutions where no present criteria are available
• Indicate the need for additional laboratory tests for definitive diagnostic information in prescribed instances
• Utilize laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately and effectively report patient results in an established format
• Operate, calibrate, conduct performance checks, and maintain clinical laboratory instruments or equipment
• Recognize and correct basic instrument malfunctions, notify supervisory personnel when appropriate, and contact maintenance personnel when needed
• Evaluate media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteria
• Conduct established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluate results of quality control and implement corrective action when indicated
• Determine performance specifications for new methods and establish basic quality control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
