Job summary

Aspire Fertility in Austin, TX is seeking an Andrologist to perform semen analysis and related Andrology procedures for IVF cycles, including specimen preparation and cryopreservation, adhering to WHO standards.

The role also supports embryology and requires following all lab SOPs and OSHA guidelines, with duties in data collection and quality improvement initiatives. Weekend rotation is required, and bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required. Bachelor of Science in Biological Science required.
• Experience performing semen analysis and WHO standards is expected.
• Familiarity with lab quality control and QA/QI programs preferred.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday with weekend/holiday rotation.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Andrology services: semen preparation, cryopreservation of sperm, and comprehensive semen analysis per WHO standards.
• Conduct lab QC/QA activities and participate in QA/QI programs; maintain records and data.
• Follow SOPs and OSHA guidelines, universal precautions for bloodborne pathogens.
• Support embryology as needed and assist in fertility laboratory operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement at individual and organizational levels.

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Andrologist at our practice. If you have the following qualifications and have a desire to work in a fertility laboratory, this may be a great fit for you. The Andrologist performs all the laboratory procedures in Reproductive Chemistry and Andrology required for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle including hormone assay, preparation of semen samples for artificial insemination, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed. This position will also assist as support role for embryology.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday rotation is required.

• Performs all Andrology services, including preparation of semen samples for artificial inseminations, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed by World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
• Performs laboratory quality control (QC), quality assessment (QA), and participates in quality improvement (QI) programs, record keeping and collection of data.
• Performs other duties as assigned, and in keeping with Prelude Fertility policies, procedures and standards of patient care and initiatives toward continuous improvement at the individual and organizational level
• Supports and actively participates in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance
• Follows all laboratory SOPs and OSHA guidelines including universal precautions for blood borne pathogens.
• Performs comprehensive semen analysis, including sperm count, motility, progression, morphology, and viability (if indicated).

Education and Experience:

• HS diploma or GED and Bachelor of Science degree in a biological science, REQUIRED.
• Bilingual-Spanish a PLUS!
