Job summary

Aspire Fertility Austin is seeking an Andrologist to join our clinical laboratory team. The role involves performing all Andrology procedures for IVF cycles, including semen sample preparation, cryopreservation, and comprehensive semen analyses following WHO standards. The position also supports embryology as needed.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations required. A BS in Biological Science is required, HS diploma or GED, and Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED and a BS in Biological Science.
• Bilingual-Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Andrology services, including semen preparation and complete semen analysis.
• Perform laboratory QC, QA, and participate in QI programs; data collection.
• Follow SOPs and OSHA guidelines, universal precautions for blood borne pathogens.
• Assist embryology as needed and support organizational performance initiatives.

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Andrologist at our practice. If you have the following qualifications and have a desire to work in a fertility laboratory, this may be a great fit for you. The Andrologist performs all the laboratory procedures in Reproductive Chemistry and Andrology required for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle including hormone assay, preparation of semen samples for artificial insemination, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed. This position will also assist as support role for embryology.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday rotation is required.

• Performs all Andrology services, including preparation of semen samples for artificial inseminations, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed by World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
• Performs laboratory quality control (QC), quality assessment (QA), and participates in quality improvement (QI) programs, record keeping and collection of data.
• Performs other duties as assigned, and in keeping with Prelude Fertility policies, procedures and standards of patient care and initiatives toward continuous improvement at the individual and organizational level
• Supports and actively participates in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance
• Follows all laboratory SOPs and OSHA guidelines including universal precautions for blood borne pathogens.
• Performs comprehensive semen analysis, including sperm count, motility, progression, morphology, and viability (if indicated).

Education and Experience:

• HS diploma or GED and Bachelor of Science degree in a biological science, REQUIRED.
• Bilingual-Spanish a PLUS!
