Job summary

Reddit is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to lead the technical strategy for our Video Ads offering and to guide the development of company-unique ad formats on Android. You will ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability across millions of users while mentoring engineers and shaping best practices.

You will collaborate with Product and Design to execute the roadmap, participate in data-driven experiments, and help raise the bar in code quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience (Staff level).
• Android Mastery: 3+ years, Kotlin, modern Android patterns, 4+ production projects.
• Experience in Ad Tech building rich-media mobile experiences.
• Strong product mindset with focus on UI polish and performance.
• Ability to design fault-tolerant client-side systems.
