Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools with validation of outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, security and data handling.
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD, resiliency, and security in an enterprise context.
• Advanced Kotlin coding in an agile environment.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Android ecosystem, and mobile UI fundamentals.
• Proficiency with unit testing libraries such as Mockito and JUnit.
• Experience with RxJava, LiveData, and State Flows.

Responsibilities

• Drives team adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Uses SDLC tools to enhance automation and value realization.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for stability of apps and systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture applicability.
• Creates data promotion journey with a customer-focused mindset.
• Collaborates with mobile team to monitor and resolve production issues on devices.
• Hands-on with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, RxJava, LiveData, and RESTful APIs.
• Performs unit and functional testing using Mockito and Espresso.
• Leverages distributed systems, caching, and persistence experience.
• Applies MVP/MVVM patterns and GoF design principles.
• Uses Gradle and Jenkins for build and CI/automation.
