Job summary

Cintas is seeking a Software Engineer – Level 2 for the Mobility team in IT to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Kotlin Multiplatform. Collaborate with customers, Business Analysts, and teammates to translate requirements into high-quality solutions aligned with IT strategy.

Responsibilities include planning with BAs, implementing Android features, analyzing apps for performance, and ensuring end-to-end quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Informational Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming using Java, Kotlin, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Android application development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with IDEs like Android Studio, IntelliJ, VisualStudio Code.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Version Control tools like Git, Gitlab or Other.

Responsibilities

• Plan and estimate with Business Analysts and cross-functional team members.
• Translate business requirements into Android solutions aligned with IT strategy.
• Analyze existing Android apps to identify performance and scalability gaps.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android enterprise applications or modules.
• Follow approved development processes and documentation practices.
• Produce application specifications and document system requirements clearly.
• Work across mobile, APIs, and backend integrations with increasing independence.
• Take ownership of application quality end-to-end.
• Conduct unit testing to validate functionality against specs.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
