Job summary

Garmin International in Yarmouth, ME is seeking a full-time Software Engineer 1 (Android) to develop native Android applications in a collaborative team environment. The role focuses on design, implementation, and maintenance of Kotlin/Java based software for Android and requires strong fundamentals in CS and engineering discipline.

You will contribute to new product development, troubleshoot issues, and follow Garmin design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
• GPA ≥ 3.0 as a general rule.
• Experience with Kotlin/Java for Android development.
• Strong communication skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new product or application software for Android.
• Troubleshoot, reproduce issues, and implement solutions.
• Identify and resolve basic defects using debugging tools.
• Document designs and follow engineering procedures.
• Integrate and provide feedback on products in development.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field

Excellent academics (GPA ≥ 3.0)
