Job summary

DoorDash is seeking Android Engineers to build and maintain a large scale 24x7 global infrastructure powering our three-sided marketplace. The role involves building features, refactoring, and extending APIs, with a focus on mobile apps used by millions.

This hybrid role requires a BS/MS/PhD in CS or equivalent, 2+ years of experience, expertise with Android SDK, testing frameworks, OOP, and strong problem solving. In-office time is expected and engineers report to an Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Expert in Android SDK in a product environment.
• Systems and OOP knowledge.
• Expertise with Android testing practices and frameworks.
• Experience building, launching, and iterating mobile apps.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement.

Responsibilities

• Build features within engineering teams.
• Refactor codebase to improve quality and maintainability.
• Solve real-time data transfer and synchronization problems.
• Extend and implement APIs for mobile platforms.
• Implement unit tests and ensure test coverage.
• Stay up-to-date with Android development standards.
