Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking Android Engineers to architect and build UI applications for real-time sensor data and aircraft control. You will deploy to users, meet requirements, and trade off design decisions for scalable systems.

Join a multidisciplinary team working on Fury, Barracuda, Roadrunner, and Lattice OS with a focus on autonomy, computer vision, and secure communications. Eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Experience building UI for map-based, data-intensive systems.
• Proficiency with Android languages including Jetpack Compose, Java, and Kotlin.
• Proficiency with C++, Rust, or Golang for backend/middleware.
• Familiarity with TCP/UDP/HTTP or protobuf/gRPC networking.
• Empathy for users and translating needs into features.
• Willingness to provide on-call support and travel up to 30%.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy real-time, map-based UI for sensor data and vehicle control via Android app and ATAK plugin ecosystem.
• Define APIs for network communications, telemetry, vehicle configuration, and streaming video.
• Define software architectures and UX workflows with engineers, designers, PMs, and customers.
• Work with Android frontend (Jetpack Compose) and backend tech (Java/Kotlin/C++/Rust/Go), plus build systems like CMake/Gradle/Docker.
• Collaborate with ATAK SDK and TAK Product Centers’ developer community.
• Collaborate with TypeScript/React, C++/Qt, and C#/.NET teams.
• Test and evaluate software with simulations, benchtop hardware, and live flight assets.
