Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring an Android Engineer to design and build real-time, map-based UIs for controlling Fury/Barracuda/Roadrunner aircraft via the ATAK ecosystem.

You will implement APIs for telemetry, vehicle configuration, and sensor control, while collaborating with diverse engineering teams to meet user needs and iterate on feedback. Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and C++/Rust/Golang is required, with test work across simulations and live assets.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/CE/AE or related technical field.
• Experience building high-traffic, map-based UIs.
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose, XML, Java, Kotlin.
• Backend experience in C++, Rust, or Golang.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and eligible for U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy real-time, map-based Android UIs for controlling aircraft via ATAK plugin ecosystem.
• Define APIs for network communications, telemetry, vehicle configuration, and sensor control with video streaming.
• Collaborate with chief engineers, product designers, program managers, and end-user customers to iterate on feedback.
• Work with Android frontend (Jetpack Compose) and backend (C++, Rust, Golang); test across simulations and live flights.
