Job summary

Splitwise is seeking a mid-level Android engineer to join our mobile team. The role focuses on Kotlin, evolving an existing Android app, and collaborating with server and product teams to plan API updates and new features.

You will deploy monthly updates, write tests, and support users while maintaining clean, testable code in a collaborative startup environment with flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong Kotlin and Android ecosystem experience with focus on testable, maintainable code.
• Experience collaborating with server/product teams and shipping updates.

Responsibilities

• Deploy updates to Google Play at least once a month.
• Implement new features and modernize existing ones.
• Collaborate with server and product teams on API changes and features.
• Support users and fix bugs directly, ensuring reliability.
• Write tests for new updates to ensure quality.
