Job summary

Comcast TPX is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join the Protection Experiences Engineering team. You will develop IoT and Home Security features for millions of Xfinity users, focusing on high-quality mobile experiences with Kotlin and modern architecture.

You will collaborate across product, backend, and device teams, contribute to scalable architectures, and work on dynamic UI rendered from backend data, advancing the Home Protection suite and related apps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) or building UI frameworks driven dynamically by backend JSON schemas.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android features for Home Protection experiences.
• Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and high-leverage technical decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks, while utilizing cross-platform frameworks where appropriate.
• Implement and expand dynamic, Spec-Driven Development (SDD) rendering frameworks to deliver backend-driven mobile UI.
• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across hardware/software integration layers.
