Job summary

ADT Security Services in Irving, TX is seeking an Experienced Android Mobile Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering mobile team. You will help build and maintain core architecture and customer-facing features for an Android security application used by hundreds of thousands of users daily.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and other teams to turn concepts into high-performing Android experiences.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• 3+ years of Android development in production.
• 5+ years of overall software engineering preferred.
• Experience shipping Android apps or features to production.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, DI, caching, WebSockets, REST/GraphQL, JSON, and security concepts.
• Experience with Bluetooth, geofencing, camera, Wi‑Fi, and other Android capabilities.
• Git, Jira, Confluence, PR reviews, and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Contribute to architecture and customer-facing features across the Android app.
• Apply modern Android architecture patterns to improve quality and performance.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to plan and deliver production-ready software.
• Implement and maintain observability using Dynatrace and related tools.
• Collaborate with development, security, operations, networking, data, and product teams.
• Help standardize mobile frameworks, CI/CD, observability, and docs.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
