Job summary

Comcast Technology and Product Experience (TPX) is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join the Connected Living Protection Experiences Engineering team. This role focuses on customer-facing Android features for Home Security IoT offerings, including the native Xfinity app and backend-driven UI.

You will develop high-quality mobile features, collaborate across product and backend teams, and contribute to scalable architectures for real-time smart home interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with extensive related experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Android development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android features for Home Protection experiences.
• Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and high-leverage technical decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks, while utilizing cross-platform frameworks where appropriate.
• Implement and expand dynamic, Spec-Driven Development (SDD) rendering frameworks to deliver backend-driven mobile UI.
• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across hardware/software integration layers.
• Debug and resolve complex production and connectivity issues.
• Participate in code reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement.
