Job summary

Pinterest is hiring for a senior Android engineer to join our Platform / Product engineering teams. You will work with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build robust frameworks and features that power Pinners across the world.

In this role you will lead development from ideation through release, improve core app performance, and leverage AI to accelerate decision making while ensuring correctness and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry Android application development experience, building consumer or business facing products.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in daily workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release; from prototyping to scalable solutions.
• Support millions of users and ensure excellence in core components shared across the app.
• Drive modularization, image/video loading improvements, RTL text, dependency injection, and reusable UI components.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to enable new technologies and experiences.
• Use AI to accelerate team execution, system design, and decision-making while validating outputs for quality.
