Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of Android experience (Kotlin/Java), familiarity with modern tooling, and interest in AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of Android development experience (Kotlin/Java) with production apps.
• Experience with modern Android tooling is a minimum requirement.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and LLM-based agents (Claude Code or similar).
• Comfortable reading and integrating with backend services (REST/GraphQL).
• Comfortable with ambiguity, agile delivery, and shipping usable software incrementally.
• Passionate about making users happy and seeing your product in the wild.
• Strong fundamentals: code quality, unit tests, and clean code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Android solutions running on Toast POS hardware in thousands of restaurants.
• Ship features end-to-end from design through rollout, monitoring for success and iterations.
• Build great UX using modern Android development practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering; participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Partner with engineers across Toast to raise the Android experience.
