Job summary

Blockchain is seeking an Android engineer to build a leading crypto wallet and ship high-quality Kotlin-based features. You will collaborate with senior engineers, participate in architecture decisions, and contribute to the security-focused mobile stack that powers millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin (and familiarity with Java).
• Comfort with Android Studio, Jetpack Compose/Views, Gradle, and Git.
• Hands-on experience shipping at least one consumer app to Google Play.
• Solid grasp of asynchronous programming (Coroutines/Flow/RxJava) and common architectural patterns (MVVM/MVI).
• Commitment to unit testing and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• A growth mindset—you actively seek feedback, iterate rapidly and push yourself to improve.
• Clear communication skills and enjoyment of working in diverse, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Build & Ship: Contribute to our Bitcoin wallet; write Kotlin code; collaborate with senior engineers on architecture decisions; help guide junior teammates when needed.
• Learn & Grow: Code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical deep-dives. Own medium-sized features end-to-end while sharpening mobile security and crypto knowledge.
• Collaborate: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to translate user stories into mobile features.
• Own Features: Take full responsibility for feature development—planning, debugging, testing, and releasing to production—with emphasis on scalability.
• Stay Curious: Explore tools (Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose, Tink), share insights, and champion best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build & Ship: Contribute to our industry-leading Bitcoin and crypto wallet – View on App Store. Write reliable, well-tested Kotlin code, collaborate with senior engineers on architecture decisions, and help guide junior teammates when needed.
• Learn & Grow: Deepen your expertise through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical deep-dives. Own medium-sized features end-to-end while continuing to sharpen your skills in mobile security and crypto.
• Collaborate: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to translate user stories into delightful mobile features.
• Own Features: Take full responsibility for feature development—planning, debugging, testing, and releasing to production—with an eye toward continuous improvement and scalability.
• Stay Curious: Explore the latest tools (Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose, Tink, etc.), share insights with the team, and champion best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
