Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

TechClub Inc. is looking for an Android Developer with platform experience for one of our US clients.

This is a hybrid (3 days onsite a week) position in Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android platform-level components (custom SDKs, libraries, system services, etc.).
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to implement innovative features at the system level.
• Optimize app performance by leveraging knowledge of Android internals (e.g., memory management, threading, and lifecycle).
• Work with AOSP (Android Open Source Project) when needed for custom builds or feature extensions.
• Ensure the security and robustness of platform-integrated applications.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Android development with at least 1–2 years focusing on platform-level work.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• In-depth knowledge of Android system architecture, including HAL, Binder, and system services.
• Experience with Jetpack components, custom views, background processing, and native libraries (NDK) is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Android Studio, ADB, profilers, and Gradle.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and agile methodologies.
