Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III, Connectivity, Android microXR in the San Jose, CA or Seattle, WA area to help build seamless wireless connections between glasses and phones for AI-enabled XR experiences.

The role focuses on developing high-performance wireless solutions across Bluetooth and WiFi within a unique SOC architecture, collaborating with WearOS and Android teams while solving complex cross-stack challenges.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with Android application development.
Experience with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

Responsibilities

Tackle critical connectivity problems, including development of advanced pairing methods for glasses and phones to support AI.
Collaborate with WearOS, Android Auto, and Android Better Together to shape future Android iterations.
Coordinate with stakeholders, glasses OEMs, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to drive decisions.
Engage with stakeholders to align expectations and drive optimal decisions.
