Job summary

Programmers.io in the United States is seeking a seasoned Android engineer to work on infotainment systems (AAOS) including Navigation, Connectivity, and Projection features.

You will leverage Java/Kotlin, JNI, AOSP and Android framework services, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver robust automotive experiences.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Android architecture, Framework and Android HAL Layer (preferably Android-O or later).
• Experience in Android code base - Application layer (Java), JNI, Native frameworks(C), AOSP
• Good understanding of Android programming environment using Binders, Shared memory, IPC mechanisms, etc.
• Debugging skills to troubleshoot problems in any layer of Android
• Good knowledge in Android Services/Framework layer and its debugging
• Programming experience in Kotlin, Java
• Preferably development experience in Android Infotainment systems (AAOS) for e.g. Navigation, Connectivity (WiFi, BT), Projection (Android Auto, Carplay) etc. otherwise work experience from Mobile or other Domains also ok but Android expertise a must
• Preferably expertise in Vehicle Interface & knowledge on Infotainment systems
• Preferably understanding of Automotive SoC architecture(application processor and Vehicle processor)
• Tools: GIT & Gerrit, JIRA, Android source build system, Android debugging tools
• Android Automotive or Android Mobile or Android TV AOSP experience are accepted by customer
• Preferably development experience in Android Infotainment systems (AAOS) for e.g. Navigation, Connectivity (WiFi, BT), Projection (Android Auto, Carplay) etc. otherwise work experience from Mobile or other Domains also ok but Android expertise a must
• Preferably expertise in Vehicle Interface & knowledge on Infotainment systems
