Katalyst CRO seeks an experienced embedded Android software engineer to design, develop, and optimize Android AOSP platform software for next-generation in-flight entertainment systems. You will work across hardware and software teams to integrate platforms, troubleshoot performance, and ensure production-quality code.
The role requires a strong background in Android AOSP, embedded Linux, C/C++, Java/Kotlin, HAL, BSP integration, and multimedia systems, with exposure to Qualcomm Snapdragon and
Design, develop, integrate, and optimize Android AOSP platform software for next-generation in-flight entertainment systems, including framework, native services, HAL, display, graphics, multimedia, and virtualization components. Collaborate across hardware and software teams to integrate platforms, troubleshoot and optimize system performance, test production-quality software, and support CI/CD and release processes.
Requires 10+ years of embedded software development experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electronics, embedded systems, or a related discipline. Candidates should have strong Android AOSP and embedded Linux expertise, including C/C++, Java or Kotlin, HAL and BSP integration, display and multimedia systems, Qualcomm platforms, and virtualization; experience with AAOS, QNX, validation, security, DRM, and IFE systems is preferred.
