Job summary

Andaz San Diego by Hyatt is seeking a Bartender to provide libations and personalized recommendations. The right candidate should stay current with mixology trends, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, while maintaining an attractive, welcoming atmosphere at the bar.

This role offers opportunities for creativity and growth, with PM availability including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly bar service while maintaining a warm, welcoming guest experience.
• Mix and prepare drinks for servers.
• Run food efficiently and accurately during high-volume periods, ensuring timely delivery and proper presentation.
• Buss tables, reset sections, and maintain a clean, organized bar area throughout service.
• Assist teammates across all front-of-house roles to support overall operational success.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and server teams to ensure accuracy and speed of service.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
• Support opening, mid-shift, and closing duties to keep the restaurant clean, stocked, and service-ready.
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and service standards consistently.

About The Role

Bartenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity and allows for building on one’s style and previous bartending experiences. Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines and willingness to wear multiple hats when needed.

Requires PM availability including weekend and holidays.

The salary range for this position is $19.00
