Job summary

Alaska Communications seeks a Project Manager for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) to lead mobilization, deployment, and execution of broadband expansion initiatives in Anchorage.

You will coordinate across Network Planning, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams, manage schedules and budgets, and drive deployment readiness and stakeholder communications.

Experience with BEAD-funded projects and cross-functional program leadership is valued; PMP or PMI-ACP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Five years of project management experience leading complex cross-functional programs or infrastructure deployment projects.
• Three or more years of experience in telecommunications, broadband, wireless, or network infrastructure deployment programs.
• Experience supporting Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), wireless network deployments, broadband expansion initiatives, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilization, deployment, and execution of Fixed Wireless Access deployment initiatives.
• Coordinate execution activities across internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
• Ensure network expansion initiatives are delivered safely, efficiently, and aligned with budgets and timelines.
• Drive accountability for milestones, deliverables, and deployment outcomes.
• Support BEAD and other broadband funding programs as applicable.
