Overview

The Congdon School of Health Sciences at High Point University (High Point, NC) is seeking five Graduate Teaching Fellows to assist in human gross anatomy instruction for the Summer of 2026.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Preferably ABD PhD students in anthropology, anatomy, biology, or a related field with research focus on human and/or primate evolutionary anatomy or morphology.
  • Completed a graduate‑level cadaveric gross anatomy course, earning a high grade.
  • Available for the entire contract period (last week of May through mid‑August).
Experience and Training
  • Previously completed and performed well in a cadaveric gross anatomy course.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college level.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability
  • Knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Dissection skills.
  • Communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in instruction of graduate students in human cadaveric dissections.
  • Prepare and dissect human cadaveric specimens.
  • Aide in the composition of written and practical exams.
  • Participate in teaching teams: three fellows will lead the Physician Assistant Gross Anatomy course (last week of May to second week of August), and two fellows will be part of the Physical Therapy Human Anatomy teaching team (last week of May through mid‑August).
