The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree and current licensure as a Pathologists' Assistant, Cytotechnologist, or Histotechnologist, with 4–6 years of relevant experience and 0–2 years of leadership/management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; related education may be considered.
• Current licensure as Pathologists' Assistant, Cytotechnologist, or Histotechnologist required.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience and 0–2 years in leadership/management.
• Histology background and licensure strongly preferred.
• Salary range and/or hourly rate may be adjusted by location and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to pathology staff, ensuring effective communication and department objectives.
• Oversees technical aspects of pathology workflow, implementing process improvements and resolving operational issues.
• Monitors quality assurance metrics, investigates discrepancies, and implements corrective actions.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains a safe laboratory environment.
• Collaborates with senior professionals to develop methods, techniques, and analytical approaches.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff performance, fostering professional growth.
• Manages equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
