  • Histology background and licensure strongly preferred.

Oversee and coordinate daily pathology accessioning and gross room operations, supervising a team of technical staff. Ensure efficient workflow, maintain high quality standards, uphold regulatory compliance, and mentor staff development. Lead process improvements, manage discrepancies, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Job Responsibility
  • Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to pathology staff, ensuring effective communication and achievement of department objectives.
  • Oversees technical aspects of pathology workflow, implementing process improvements and resolving operational issues.
  • Monitors quality assurance metrics, investigates discrepancies, and implements corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains a safe laboratory environment.
  • Collaborates with senior professionals to develop and refine methods, techniques, and analytical approaches.
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff performance, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Manages equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal functionality.

Job Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Current License to practice as a Pathologists' Assistant, Cytotechnologist, or Histotechnologist required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
  • Histology background & Experience preferred.
  • Pathologists' Assistant licensure strongly preferred.
