Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing tissue specimens for examination, creating frozen sections for Pathologists, assisting with renal biopsies and fine-needle aspirations, and maintaining equipment and quality control

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities

• Process and allocate laboratory specimens and orders.
• Verify patient and specimen identification and appropriate orders.
• Register specimens accurately in the system.
• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic review.
• Prepare frozen sections for the Pathologist and assist with renal biopsies and fine-needle aspirations.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality control on specified equipment.
