Job summary

Powers Health is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Support Assistant to provide cross-functional support across the AP department, including cytology, histology, and general operations. The role involves travel between facilities to ensure coverage throughout the system.

The position supports grossing, specimen prep for gynecological and non-gynecological samples, and routine lab workflows, under supervision of senior staff.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, plus successful completion of >=5 credit hours of college-level Biology/Chemistry or 1-3 years of clinical lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across Anatomic Pathology including cytology, histology, and general operations.
• Assist with grossing, special procedures, and specimen prep (gynecologic and non-gynecologic).
• Assist with non-core lab specimen handling and transport workflows, and clerical tasks.
• Travel between facilities to provide coverage throughout the system.
