Boston Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Anatomic Pathology Operations to lead gross room, specimen management, accessioning, and archive activities. You will align pathology services with clinical needs, drive efficiency, and ensure regulatory readiness.

The role requires 5+ years in Anatomic Pathology with 2+ years in supervision, plus experience with Epic Beaker and CAP/CLIA standards. On-site leadership and cross-department collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in Anatomic Pathology
• Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience
• Experience with Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology
• Academic Medical Center experience
• Experience with CAP inspections and regulatory surveys

Responsibilities

• Direct recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, competency assessment, coaching, performance management
• Leads quality, safety, and regulatory compliance programs
• Oversees Gross Room, specimen management, accessioning, and pre-analytic workflows
• Manages slide, paraffin block archive operations and retention
• Collaborates with clinical departments and pathologists to optimize workflows and service delivery
