Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Manager Anatomic Pathology to oversee operational leadership for the Anatomic Pathology services, including gross room operations, specimen management, accessioning support, and archive management.

The role directs daily laboratory operations, workforce management, and regulatory programs while coordinating with pathologists and clinical departments to ensure safe, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in healthcare administration or related field.
• Experience in Anatomic Pathology leadership or management is required.
• Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, competency assessment, coaching, performance management, and professional development for staff.
• Leads quality, safety, and regulatory programs and inspection readiness.
• Oversees Gross Room operations, specimen management, accessioning, and pre-analytic workflows.
• Manages specimen receiving, triage, frozen section coordination, and archive operations.
• Serves as operational liaison between Anatomic Pathology and clinical departments.
