Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA is seeking a Medical Lab Manager of Anatomic Pathology to lead a laboratory team and oversee daily testing operations in a regulated clinical environment.

The role is office-based with a Monday–Friday schedule and flexible start times of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM, finishing at 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM, respectively. This position requires strong leadership, QA/QC, and regulatory knowledge to ensure quality and efficiency in Anatomic Pathology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in regulated clinical labs (CAP/CLIA locations may require BSc in lab science or related field).
• Typically >5 years' experience in a regulated environment with >4 years in a regulated lab and >2 years in line management.
• In-depth knowledge of lab testing procedures and applicable regulations.
• Practical lab experience, preferably in Anatomic Pathology.
• Knowledge of QA/QC principles and program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a laboratory team while overseeing day-to-day testing operations in a regulated clinical laboratory environment.
• Ensure quality, compliance and operational efficiency with a Monday–Friday schedule and start times at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM.
• Provide technical leadership, troubleshoot complex laboratory challenges, and implement effective resolutions.
• Lead quality, safety, CAPA, and compliance activities for department standards.
• Monitor operational metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives for service quality.
