Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA is seeking a Medical Lab Manager of Anatomic Pathology to lead a laboratory team and oversee day-to-day testing in a regulated clinical environment. This office-based role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with flexible start times between 7:00 and 8:00 AM and end times 4:00 or 5:00 PM.

You will drive quality, compliance and operational efficiency, mentor staff, manage workflow, and implement new tests and processes while maintaining CAPA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a lab science field; CAP/CLIA familiarity preferred.
• 5+ years in a regulated lab environment; 2+ years in line management.
• Knowledge of anatomic pathology testing and applicable regulations.
• Strong QA/QC principles and ability to implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a laboratory team while overseeing day-to-day testing operations in a regulated clinical laboratory environment.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign workload to support effective laboratory operations.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate laboratory staff while supporting hiring, training, and performance management.
• Provide technical leadership, troubleshoot complex laboratory challenges, and implement effective resolutions.
• Lead quality, safety, CAPA, and compliance activities to ensure department standards are met.
• Monitor operational metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
