Selective Insurance invites you to join the Ignite Internship program at our Short Hills, NJ campus. This 11-week, full-time internship offers hands-on experience in advanced analytics, working with data scientists on predictive models, data trends, and business impact.

You’ll gain exposure to on-the-job assignments, team projects, and leadership interactions in a hybrid work setting within commuting distance of Short Hills, NJ.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills; identifying solutions, not just executing.
• Proficient with Excel; beginner Python, SQL a plus.

Responsibilities

• As a summer intern, you will work with data scientists to gain hands-on experience.
• Identify analytical solutions to business problems and explore data trends.
• Create predictive models and evaluate model performance.
• Evaluate new ML, AI and generative AI technologies.
• Present findings to business partners for acceptance of solutions
