Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is offering a ten-week BI&ALDP internship in the Hartford, CT and St. Paul, MN area. It provides hands-on data analytics work, technical training and performance reviews, with exposure to leaders and cross‑enterprise projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or hold a degree in GIS, Computer Science or Geography, with experience in GIS tools, Python, SQL and ETL. Housing support and intern events are part of the program.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater preferred.
• Obtained or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, CS or Geography.
• Exposure to ESRI ArcGIS Pro and other GIS mapping software and platforms.
• Comfortable with using Python.
• Experience with spatial statistics, including map projections and coordinate systems.
• Data warehouse and ETL understanding with Python, SQL, and/or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of data lakes and/or experience with Databricks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Real project work aligned to active business needs across Travelers' analytics functions.
• Technical training taught by full-time BI&ALDP participants.
• Formal performance reviews with honest, structured feedback on growth.
• Leadership exposure through Intern Symposium and community outreach initiatives.
• Collaborative capstone presentation with peers to present solutions.
• Leverage modern analytical and AI tools to evaluate quality and AI outputs.
• Top interns may interview for a full-time BI&ALDP offer; perform other duties as assigned.
