Airbnb is seeking an experienced backend/fullstack engineer to join the Analytics Infrastructure group. You will build data tools and data-driven features on top of Apache Superset, Notebooks, and AI for Data, while ensuring reliability and observability across the data platform.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Superset community and internal data platform teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data products used by thousands of users globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time, relevant industry experience in backend services (Python).
• Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, React is a plus.
• Hands-on data tooling or big data experience (SQL, Airflow, Spark, Trino) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Build features for data products (Superset, AI for Data Chat, Notebooks) and integrations within the Data Platform ecosystem.
• Collaborate with the Apache Superset open source community and contribute to the project.
• Prepare, test and release Superset OSS official releases internally for Airbnb.
• Collaborate with data platform teams on integrations with infrastructure, data discovery and data management.
• Engage with users to drive end-to-end projects, gather feedback and plan migrations.
• Maintain high technical quality through testing, observability improvements and code reviews.
• Provide lightweight on-call support to keep operations running smoothly.
