Job summary

Inroads is seeking a Manager II, Analytics Engineering to lead a team of Analysts, Data Scientists, Engineers and PMs on a federal contract supporting healthcare.gov outreach and analytics. The role sits between Data Engineering and Data Analysis and requires building robust data pipelines and semantic models for KPIs.

You will foster dbt best practices, manage Airflow pipelines, and ensure data quality and documentation while aligning with ACA policy changes and client needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied experience in data analytics/infrastructure with 1+ year in leadership or mentoring
• Experience with dbt and downstream data models in cloud environments like Snowflake/Redshift/Databricks
• Experience optimizing data models for query efficiency

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop a small Analytics Engineering team
• Oversee migration and optimization of SQL logic into dbt pipelines; build dimensional models
• Develop and manage Airflow DAGs and data quality tests; monitor data reliability
• Maintain clear documentation for datasets, lineage, and transformation logic
• Drive performance improvements for queries and Snowflake usage
• Understand ACA regulatory frameworks to reflect marketplace changes in data models
• Own tasks and resolve challenges to deliver accurate products on deadlines
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
