Job summary

Profound, an AI marketing platform based in New York City, seeks an Analytics Engineer to build the product analytics foundation. You will define success metrics, map the user journey, and uncover insights shaping product development and GTM strategies.

You will own dashboards tracking usage, funnels, retention, activation, and feature adoption, while partnering with engineers to ensure data quality and reliable metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics, data, or product roles focused on user behavior and product usage.
• Experience with funnels, retention, and activation metrics.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable product insights.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards to track product usage, funnels, retention, activation, user journeys, and feature adoption.
• Define and maintain core product metrics and ensure clean, reliable modeling.
• Analyze user journeys to identify friction and drive activation and growth.
• Respond to ad-hoc customer analysis requests with custom solutions and insights.
• Conduct customer-level and segment analyses to support sales, marketing, and customer success.
• Partner with engineers to instrument events and maintain data pipelines.
